Balls Games Competition

Kiranga Youth Polytechnic students shined as they participated in Kandara Gatanga youth polytechnic games held on 10th to 13th October year 2014 at Kandara sub county, Muruka ward under the sponsorship of Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Speaking during the issuance of awards to the best teams and players Mr. Peter Mwangi the Murang’a County Director of Youth Training said that “Games and other co-curricula activities are very vital in schools as they aid in talent development and it’s a plus to health.
He also added that the Ministry is committed to finance and regularly organize the same games up to a National level and he called on the winners to continue on practicing towards meeting other zones in the succeeding terms. Accompanying Mr. Mwangi during the occasion was Mr. Kahenya Manager Ndunyu chege YP, Mr. Kwagi Manager Kirwara Polytechnic, Madam Priscah Maina Manager Kagundu-ini Polytechnic amongst others.
Football, volleyball, Netball boys and girls are some of the games that the students were involved in with Kiranga Polytechnic emerging number one in football boys and girls. “It was a good day where we’ve tirelessly participated, cheered and eventually won in most of the games”, this was some of the words heard from the students.

“Games are crucial in everybody’s life and should always be taken seriously as they also end up making career to the best players”, this were the closing remarks of Mr. Jackson Kiama the Manager Kiranga Polytechnic as he addressed the final award issuing parade.
